Boss War: New Game Mode!

Introducing BOSS WAR, a new game mode, now live in Sombionic! The rules are simple:

1. Take down the yellow boss to claim a powerful buff!

2. Defeat the enemy boss before time runs out and protect your own boss at all costs!

The battle never ends—respawn and dive back into action across multiple rounds! Take down mutants, earn exclusive loot, and stack up your currency.

At its core, this game mode has two teams battling against each other, each having its own boss. The team that defeats the enemy boss first wins the round. To stand a chance, you must first take down the yellow buff to boost your damage—otherwise, you'll barely scratch the enemy boss.

This buff is temporary, so hurry to the enemy base and take down their boss while it lasts!

The main purpose of this game mode is to dive straight into combat with respawn turned on, farm items, currencies and achievements while having fun with the enemies. There won’t be any story or dialogues just what you’d expect from a Deathmatch mode, but with the bosses twist.

I’m working on one map for the next build, but I’ve planned two more while the idea is that they are going to be using similar models to the levels you go through while playing the Campaign (otherwise the game will get huge). However, the level design, post processing and lighting will vary and won’t be the same as the Campaign and if the map size is large, there might be 3 teams facing each other.

The next release including this mode hopefully won’t take me more than 2 weeks, if things go right. It will be the v0.1 of Boss War and I’d be looking for your feedback on how to improve that mode, again t    his won’t be the final version and more enemies will come as I add them into the game.
